The Center for Soulful Presence is now featuring the first “Be the Change” series workshop for burn out/compassion fatigue, counselor care, and the “wounded healer”. Licensed Professional Counselor and Spiritual Life Coach, Stacey Cohen, MA, LPC will be hosting a series of art studio experiences for anyone who considers themselves a healer, counselor, empath, social justice leader/advocate, doctor, lawyer, nurse, or caregiver of any kind (parents are also welcome). The workshop will be centered on the notion that in order to be of service, one must take the “oxygen mask” first.
Take some well needed time for yourself to tap into Sacred Space utilizing an art and expressive journey to Wholeness. This is an invitation to explore the hidden gold in the present-centered experience despite any signs of chaos, fear, and distress in yourself or those you care for. Participants will engage in a guided meditation, some time for mindful reflection in writing, and a visual art creation made by you. No previous art experience necessary. Art supplies and a light veggie snack is included in the fee. You are more than welcome to bring any additional snacks if you would like (veggie/gluten free is preferred). Wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting messy (or bring an apron or smock).
What to expect: a peaceful home art studio environment, relaxation, fellowship, lighthearted fun, time and a safe space to explore feelings/thoughts, and the simple pleasure of present-centered focus while being creative.
Seats are limited (8 max) and ticket purchase secures and reserves your seat. Please purchase your tickets before the deadline of December 15th. Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for address once your ticket has been placed. Address will be sent to you upon your ticket purchase.
